OCTOBER EVENTS

   One of the oldest fairs in the county is making its way to Cirencester in October as the town welcomes Nichols Amusements of the Showmen’s Guild of Great Britain for the return of the annual Mop Fair.  
The popular fair is being held in the Market Place from 12pm to 10pm on Monday the 9th and Monday the 16th October offering fairground rides and stalls.

Don't miss the wonderfully Festive Christmas Craft Fayre 
at The Piggery, Flaxlands Manor Farm near Royal Wootton Bassett
 

This popular annual event is on Saturday 28th October from 10.30-3.30 

There's free parking and free entry, with homemade food, activities for children
and the best choice of locally made crafts and gifts, perfect for Christmas!
  

And all raising money for international children's charity, Footsteps.

Christmas Market - with stalls by many local Community Groups
Where:  Christchurch, Old Town
Time:     10am-3pm
Charity stalls, games, refreshments, Father Christmas, 2.30pm the choir sings, visit the Bell Tower

The Swindon Town Christmas Lights Switch-On
Where:  Wharfe Green, centre of Swindon
Time:  events from middayn - with comedy and Christmas characters, the official Snowman from the Christmas animation, a giant snowglobe,...
5pm:  Saara Aalton (X Factor) sings songs from classic fairytale movies
6pm:  The lights Switch On

 

DECEMBER

2nd-23rd December   
Wilts & Berks Canal Trust “Santa Trips”, on narrow boat “Dragonfly”, from a landing stage behind the Esso garage at the bottom of Kingshill Road, SN1 4NG.  Car parking at The Runner public house Wootton Bassett Road, SN1 4NQ. From the very back of the pub car park, just a short walk will take you to the Kings Hill mooring.  Follow the signs.
Every weekend from 2nd December to 17th December, then daily up to Saturday 23rd December.
