2017 Testimonials

Scotts of Stow

"On Friday our Chairman Nigel Swabey said ‘Wouldn’t it be good if we reached £10,000 (last sale just ofer £6,000) with our Sale on Saturday’.  With great weather forecast,  I thought we’d be very lucky.. and left it at that.  We could hardly believe it…. The result was greater...a £12,000 total. So  much so, we triple checked!  Thank you so much for all your support we definitely felt that there was a benefit from working with SWINDON 105.5.  I’d love to see how we can work even closer in the coming months."

RADIO INTERVIEW INCREASED INTEREST FOR A LOCAL BUSINESS

"A couple of weeks ago Laura Cousins from your station approached our shop and asked if we were interested in doing a radio interview on our Himalayan salt lamps and associated products.  Since it aired we have had quite an uptake on interest in the Himalayan salt lamps so I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Laura and to yourselves for this opportunity.  Being a tiny family business (myself, ross my brother and our father) we don’t have the “big bucks” to shell out for marketing, everything we do is in house and usually no financial cost due to not having the budget there. You guys came along and just wanted to help and we are truly humbled by that so again thank you."

STUDENT PLACEMENTS AND INDIVIDUALS

"Thank you for the Work Experience placement you provided this year for a Farmor’s School students.  We are aware of the amount of time, energy and commitment you have to put into ensuring that our students had a varied range of experiences which can be the most valuable learning.

Once back in school the following week the students completed many activities and written an account of their experiences with your organisation, so that maximum use is made of this period when they were learning outside the classroom.  We are grateful for all your help and support and the hospitality shown to our students. We hope that you will be able to participate in the scheme again next year."

Hi Shirley,

Thought I would drop you a quick message to say thanks for all your help and support you gave me in the early stages of my radio career.   I was listening to the Leisure show with Nick this morning and remembered the fun I had working on that show at the County Ground, so I thought I would get in touch.  It is great to see the station doing so well and I hope it continues to go from strength to strength.
