Crooked Road

Presenter of The Crooked Road Mike Ganley celebrates 30 years in local radio.  Mike started his broadcasting career with Radio West in Bristol (now GWR).  Since then he has worked on many commercial and BBC local stations in the West of England, as a presenter, producer and managing director.  In 1999 his company – 5 Valleys Radio Ltd. was awarded the radio licence for Southern Gloucestershire, going on air as FM107 The Falcon (later Star 107FM).

Mike first became involved with roots music whilst at university in Coventry. “We called it folk music in those days. I was involved with running the entertainments at the Students Union in the early seventies. One of the regular events was a folk club.  I just love the music and play it on the radio.”

Mike says "I am delighted to be involved with SWINDON 105.5.  It's a unique radio station, having grown from the roots up.  It's a great outlet for both music lovers and performers.”

The Crooked Road can be heard on SWINDON 105.5 at 8pm on Thursdays and Tuesdays at midnight.
