Late Shift Rock Show

Post by Ian Oregan on Wednesday 1st October 2014 at 10:35:30
On The Rock Show tonight at 8pm on Swindon 105.5, our studio guest will be local singer and singing teacher, the inestimable Dawn Lewis. We'll be talking female rock singers from Suzy Quatro to Siouxie Sioux and much more, so the show will have a distinctly female slant. However, despite the insistence of Jamie Sinclair, we won't be addressing the question "Why can't Girlies do Rock?". :-D

About the show

NEW - Two hours of the best of rock in the broadest measure, with Ian O'Regan and Jamie Sinclair bringing you chat, news, comment and conversation.

We'll also bring you studio guests from different corridors and corners of the local music scene.

Listen Wednesdays between 8pm and 10pm.

Coming up

If you're a band based within 30 miles of Swindon, and have some recordings of your own music, get in touch and let us know. We'll be delighted to play it and to help promote whatever release or gig you're planning.

Previously on the show

We've had some fantastic guests on the show since June. Local vinyl collector and front-man of local rock gods Shepherd's Pie Tim Stgevens visited us to talk about his new pop-up record store. Steve Grimmett came in to talk about Grim Reaper and Beavis & Butthead. Prog demi-God David Waddingtome talked keyboard solos, and Swindon singing teacher Dawn Lewis waxed lyrical about how there's a rock screamer hiding inside everyone, just trying to escape!
