Swindon Talent '10 Finals Concert, Wyvern Theatre Book now for your seats for Sunday 8th August. Finals of the 3rd Swindon Talent, showcasing local talent. SWINDON 105.5 and the Swindon Advertiser run this annual competition linking festivals across the Borough and providing a platform for initially Swindon, now Wiltshire-wide talent. Special guest performer Nicholas McCarthy, the world's only one-armed, left-handed professional pianist - and just 21 years of age.

July 17th Picnic in the Park - Queens Park, Swindon Queens Park Associations family funday. Offical opening at 11.30am Swindon 105.5 broadcast live between 11am and 12noon. 2nd South Asian Performing Arts (SAPAC). First evening of South Asian Dance and Music at New College 10th: Swindon Talent '10 heat at Big Arts Festival at Lydiard Park
June 26th Old Town Festival Wood Street and The Lawns 27th Swindon's Old Town Festival. Town Gardens (11.30am-6pm) including Swindon Talent '10 8th to 11th April Swindon Film Festival. 'Around the World in Eighty Hours' 4 days of films from all over the world: the UK Première of South Africa's official Oscar entry; films from Burma, Antarctica, Brazil, India, Senegal, Canada and Japan; plus local films, online programmes and fun in Wharf Green. And, of course, there is even a bit of Disney! Launched by Shirley Ludford from SWINDON 105.5 at Wharf Green 6th Run for Heroes 5km Fun Run / Walk. Part of a family funday at Lydiard Park supporting Help for Heroes, 5th Highworth heat of Swindon Talent '10, part of Highworth Year of Culture. 4th Purton Carnival including Swindon Talent 10 heat. At the Village Hall. 7.30pm

Swindon children hosted a conference, fashion show, food fair and launch of Kids Credit Card as part of the national Tenner challenge, turning £10 given to each child into profit - after taking advice from Professionals across a range of businesses. SWINDON 105.5 was delighted to be involved in this initiative. THE SWINDON INITIATVE TOOK FIRST PLACE in the national competition.
March We were delighted to compere and record:- * Mayor of Swindon's concert in aid of his designated community organisations * Swindon Music Service first concert in a new series of annual concerts profiling local young musicians.
2009 highlights included:- Mayor of Swindon's Christmas Bash at Liquid & Envy - raising funds for his four chosen community organisations during his Mayoral year in office.
December Christmas Concert by Pegasus Brass. A "first" as they played with with guests Swindon Brass for the first time on stage together. ewcoeded fr broadcast Chrismas Day.
November 28th: Wessex Concert Orchestra performs at St Joseph's College. 7.30pm. Features Lithuanian Violin soloist with music from Schindlers List 14th Rotary Clubs of Swindon Proms Night at Swindon's Wyvern Theatre. Proceeds go to local charities supported by Rotary. 3rd Fundraising curry night at the Bombay Lounge, Peatmore. Evening sitting included quiz and live entertainment.
September 15th Swindon Community Forum : Steam Museum. Swindon Borough Council seeks to work with local groups and show support.
August 16th Penhill Community Day : raising awareness and funds for a Splash Park 15th Swindon's Gay Pride Festival : at the Town Gardens 8th Swindon Talent '09 Finals : at the Arts Centre 1st Swindon's Second Goan Festival : at the Athletics Track, STFC
July 30th National Street Athletics Day: with Linford Christie and Darren Campbell 26th Queens Park Celebration Drove Vets Open Day
June 27th Veterans Day, supporting the Help For Heroes Campaign : Faringdon Rd Park
